World leaders meet in Istanbul for the Atlantic Council Summit

The 7th annual Atlantic Council Energy and Economic Summit, the world’s most prestigious energy and economics summit, organized by the US’s leading independent think tank, the Atlantic Council, will take place on the 18-20th of November. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will deliver the opening remarks to over 400 government, business, and civil society leaders. This year’s summit topics include developments in the Middle East, the ongoing civil war in Syria, falling oil prices, the nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1, political tensions in Ukraine, and other regional dynamics.

As has been the case for the past four years, TPQ will be represented at the Summit and hardcopies will be available at the venue.

Eka Tkeshelashvili is the President of the Georgian Institute for Strategic Studies. As an independent consultant, she helps companies operating in Georgia, or willing to invest in the region, in political risk assessment and legal analysis as well as in advancing their strategic communications. Between 2010 and 2012, she was the Vice Prime-Minister, State Minister of Georgia for Reintegration and in this role she oversaw the implementation of state policy towards the occupied territories of Georgia and the national policy on minority integration. She previously served as Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia between 2008 and 2010 after serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Prosecutor General and Georgia’s Minister of Justice in 2008. Tkeshelashvili was also the chairperson of the Tbilisi Appeals Court.
